Welcome

The Federation of Exford & Dulverton Schools was formed on April 2, 2007. This comprises three schools, Dulverton Middle & Community School, All Saints First School, Dulverton and Exford First School. The two First Schools are Church of England. The Federation supports around 260 pupils ranging in age from 4 to 13 years. Our schools lie in the central and southern part of Exmoor National Park in Somerset, a breathtaking and beautiful area offering the undisturbed tranquility of its open moors and wooded valleys with a small population largely based around farming and tourism. Exford First School lies 10 miles from the other two schools in Dulverton.

Federation gives us new impetus, enabling us to formally collaborate by sharing the expertise, good practice and ideas for innovation within each school to the greater benefit of the pupils. A substantial investment across all three schools this year has seen us install new computers, video conferencing, and interactive white boards in every classroom. Under the guidance of a single governing body, it allows the schools increased opportunities to improve and transform the quality of leadership and management, teaching and learning and ensure the continued achievement of every pupil.

In partnership with parents and the wider community, we create a stimulating and secure environment in which all children and adults are happy, safe, valued and respected. We will also strive to provide a rich and varied, seamless curriculum across the schools, ensuring that all children are challenged to achieve their best and become confident and independent learners.

Please look through our web site to find out more, and contact me or the schools directly
if you have any questions or comments.
